Privacy Policy
CFM Financial Consulting Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, the service providers involved and the choices available to you.
Last updated October 26, 20261. Scope
This policy applies to personal information handled by CFM Financial Consulting Inc. through this website, direct inquiries and our client-development systems. It does not replace the terms of any engagement agreement or the privacy practices of independent lenders, investors, lawyers, accountants or other third parties involved in a transaction.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit an inquiry, contact us or work with CFM, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method and the information you choose to provide about a financing requirement, business, property, transaction or advisory need.
Please do not submit highly sensitive personal or financial documents through the website inquiry form. If additional information is required, CFM will provide an appropriate method for sharing it.
Website and technical information
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, interactions and session timing. CFM does not use the website to serve behavioural advertising.
3. How we use information
CFM may use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and determine whether a request fits CFM's capabilities;
- communicate about a potential or existing engagement;
- provide financing, transaction-advisory or related services;
- maintain business records, manage relationships and improve our processes;
- protect the website, prevent abuse and comply with legal or regulatory obligations; and
- understand website performance when you have expressly allowed analytics.
CFM does not sell or rent personal information.
5. Service providers and disclosures
CFM uses service providers to operate the website and manage inquiries. These currently include:
- Web Hosting Canada (WHC) for website hosting and related infrastructure;
- GoHighLevel for contact, inquiry, CRM and workflow management; and
- Google Analytics for optional website measurement after consent.
Service providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions where they or their subprocessors operate. Information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
CFM may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or with your direction or consent. Transaction-related information is not shared with potential lenders, investors or counterparties merely because you submitted the website form; any such disclosure would occur as part of an appropriate mandate or with authorization.
6. Retention and safeguards
CFM retains personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described above, to manage a relationship or engagement, and to satisfy legal, regulatory, insurance or recordkeeping requirements. Retention periods vary according to the nature of the information and relationship.
CFM uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask questions about how it has been handled, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. Some information may need to be retained or used where permitted or required by law.
You may change your analytics preference at any time. If you previously allowed analytics and then select Only necessary, the website removes CFM's accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads without the analytics tag.
